TEAMS:  Join an existing team or create one of your own on the registration site. Teams can have an unlimited number of participants but only the four fastest times will be used for scoring. At least one scoring member of a mixed team must be of a different gender.

 

AWARDS:  Race awards will be presented during the post-race Finish Line Party.  Exact award structure will be announced this spring.
 

• Overall finishers (Top 3 finishers each in male, female, and gender neutral)

• Teams (Top team in all-male, all-female, and mixed team categories)

• Age Group (Top 3 in each gender for 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)

• Best Costume (Top 2 individuals dressed in honor of Capital Pride's Make Magic Happen theme.)

NEW:  We will be using wave starts this year.  Your wave assignment will be marked on your bib.

 

RACE PREMIUM:  All participants may choose to receive a race shirt (available in men's and women's cuts) or a running singlet (unisex).  Participants must register by April 28 to guarantee their style and size.  After April 28, our online registration vendor will only allow styles and sizes to be selected if they remain in stock.

 

CHARITY RUNNERS:  Help SMYAL support LGBTQ youth in the region.  Sign up to be a charity runner:  https://priderunforsmyal.myetap.org/fundraiser/2016/

 

Charity runners will receive the following thank you gifts from SMYAL:

• Raise $100 - Receive a SMYAL water bottle

• Raise $250 - Receive a SMYAL shirt or tank

• Raise $500 - Receive two free entries to SMYAL for Summer

• Raise $1,000 - Receive two free entries to the SMYAL Fall Brunch
   

The top fundraiser will be recognized during the post-race awards ceremony.
